This policy describes how Mampu collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with Maqno and related interactions with our business.

Applicability of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Maqno application, related websites, support interactions, sales and account discussions, and other business interactions with Mampu.

Maqno is offered to organizations for professional use. In many cases, Mampu provides the service to a customer organization and processes information on that organization's behalf. In those cases, the customer organization may control how Maqno is configured and used within its environment, including how customer content is managed.

This Privacy Policy is intended to describe where Mampu acts as a controller or otherwise has direct responsibility for personal information under applicable law. It does not replace customer agreements or internal policies adopted by customer organizations using Maqno.

Personal Information We Collect

  • Information you provide directly: This may include your name, email address, company name, role, account credentials, support messages, sales inquiries, survey responses, and other information you choose to provide to us.
  • Account and service information: This may include account profile details, organization membership, Team membership, permissions, subscription or billing-related information, and records associated with your use of Maqno.
  • Customer content: Depending on how Maqno is used by your organization, this may include documents, files, prompts, messages, citations, Knowledge Base content, Conversation history, and related business information made available through the service.
  • Information collected automatically: We may collect device, browser, usage, and log information such as IP address, timestamps, pages or features accessed, session activity, and similar information used to operate and secure Maqno.
  • Information from third parties: We may receive information from service providers, identity providers, resellers, marketing partners, event organizers, or customer organizations that invite or administer your access to Maqno.

How We Use Personal Information

  • Provide and maintain Maqno: To create accounts, authenticate users, administer organizations, and deliver the features of the service.
  • Support customer use of the service: To manage Document Workspaces, Knowledge Bases, Conversations, customer support, onboarding, and other account services.
  • Improve, secure, and troubleshoot: To understand how Maqno is used, improve performance, detect errors, investigate incidents, enforce security, and protect against fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access.
  • Communicate with you: To respond to requests, send service-related notices, provide support, and, where permitted, share information about Maqno, events, or updates that may be relevant to you or your organization.
  • Comply with legal obligations: To satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, contractual, and enforcement requirements.

Customer Content and Organizational Use

  • Maqno is designed for use by organizations. Customer organizations may choose what information, documents, prompts, or business content is made available through the service.
  • Where permitted by the customer organization, Maqno may use customer content to support search, retrieval, knowledge organization, and response generation within the service.
  • Customer organizations are responsible for the content they choose to upload or make available in Maqno, and for managing their own internal use, permissions, and governance decisions.
  • If you use Maqno through your employer or another organization, that organization may be able to access, manage, or delete information associated with your account or use of the service, subject to its own policies and agreements with Mampu.
  • We do not sell customer content or personal information submitted through Maqno.

Who We Share Personal Information With

We may share personal information with service providers, contractors, advisers, and affiliated entities that help us operate Maqno, support customers, process payments, communicate with users, secure our systems, or carry out other business functions on our behalf.

We may also share personal information with customer organizations that sponsor or administer your use of Maqno, with third parties where required by law or legal process, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.

How We Keep Personal Information Secure

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These measures are intended to support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Maqno and related business systems.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You and your organization are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for using Maqno in accordance with your own internal governance and security policies.

International Data Transfers

Personal information may be processed in jurisdictions other than where you are located, including where Mampu, its affiliates, customers, or service providers operate. Where required, we take steps intended to support appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide Maqno, maintain business and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the customer relationship, legal or contractual obligations, and the choices made by the customer organization that administers the relevant Maqno environment.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to our processing of your personal information, and in some cases to request portability of that information.

Where Mampu processes personal information on behalf of a customer organization, we may direct you to that organization, or work with it, in responding to your request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain certain information where required by law or legitimate business need.

Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Maqno, our legal obligations, or our privacy practices. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
